Rotterdam History

Second Edition – November 2019, Conference History

We hosted the 2nd International Conference on Management, Economics and Finance (ICMEF) on the 15th-17th of November 2019 at Erasmus University Rotterdam in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

We are pleased to report that the event was attended by a highly diverse group of academics from such countries as Italy, Romania, Greece, Indonesia, the United States, Nigeria, Germany, Poland, Malaysia, and numerous others. It was truly a pleasure to observe the attendees engage in vigorous discussions, present their research, offer each other feedback, and brainstorm creative solutions to the fields’ most pressing issues.

Topics covered by the agenda included sustainable agri-food supply chains in Greece, effective management of corporate image in achieving customer loyalty, empirical determinants of adopting defined-contribution corporate pension plans in Japan, divergence of blogs sentiment and stock market efficiency, etc. The high quality of the presentations is the direct result of the level of expertise of the scientific committee of the event, which put every submitted abstract and paper through a double-blind review process.

The learning opportunities were supplemented with a social event – a free guided tour of Rotterdam. The city’s unique architecture is both mesmerizing and inspiring.

We hope to see you at ICMEF 2023!
